The Ola S1 Z is available in two variants, catering to different use cases. While the base model is designed for personal use, the top-spec Z+ variant is built to serve both personal and commercial purposes.
Battery and Range:
The S1 Z comes with a 1.5 kWh removable battery pack, which can be expanded to two units. With a single battery pack, the scooter offers an IDC-certified range of 75 km on a full charge. With dual batteries, the range extends to 146 km.
What’s the Advantage of the Removable Battery? Removable batteries are easier to manage compared to fixed batteries. With fixed batteries, users need to find charging stations to charge the portable charger. On the other hand, users can easily remove the battery and charge it at home or the office. Additionally, discharged batteries can be swapped with fully charged ones at charging stations in just a few minutes.
Motor Power and Speed:
The Ola S1 Z features a 2.9 kW hub motor delivering a maximum power output of 4 bhp. The top speed is claimed to be 70 km/h. The scooter can accelerate to 20 km/h in 1.8 seconds and 0-40 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
Design and Looks:
The S1 Z comes with a boxy silhouette, distinguishing it from the rest of the S1 range. The top-spec Z+ variant offers additional accessories like cargo racks at both ends, a pillion sidestep, a visor, and a mobile phone holder. The base version has 12-inch wheels, while the S1 Z+ comes with a 14-inch option. Both variants feature an LCD instrument console for the rider.
Price and Availability:
The Ola S1 Z starts at ₹59,999, and the S1 Z+ variant is priced at ₹64,999 (starting). The top-spec model comes with extra accessories such as the pillion sidestep and cargo rack. Booking is currently open with a token amount of ₹499, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in May 2025.
